Sindh government decides to ban take away foods at restaurants across Karachi during a 10-day closure in the city
Karachi: On Friday, the Sindh government decided to impose a lockdown in the province from (Saturday) to August 8 amid growing cases in Covid-19; in addition, and postponed all Intermediate and matric examination, were due to take place next week as it announced the closure of the entire province from Sunday to control the fourth wave of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Here are the restrictions that will impose in Karachi City
There will be travel restrictions between cities
All markets will remain closed. However, pharmacies and markets until 6 pm will remain open.
Restaurants will be allowed only to deliver food. No takeaway allowed.
The examination was canceled during the lockdown
There is no limit to the movement of citizens
Vaccination cards for citizens roaming the streets will be look over
Vaccination centers remain open during the lockdown
All government offices will be closed from next week
Movement of media persons wearing masks will be allowed
The government has decided to impose a limited lockdown
The Sindh government has decided to set aside issues in the province until August 8, Sunday. The decision is taken due to an increase in Covid-19 cases.
In Karachi, most of the cases are Delta variant which is highly transmissible.
Chief Minister Shah said health professionals recommended the closure after the Karachi infection rate exceeded more than 20%, and Many of Karachi’s cases are of Delta variant, which is hugely transferable. In the East District, the average rate reported was 33%.

We know these limits will not please people, but we need to understand that this requires time. “If you cooperate with us, we will start doing normal work from August 9.” We have also appealed to the federal government, and they have also confirmed their support.
