Honda Atlas officially launched its 6th generation City model in Pakistan

After a long wait, the much-anticipated 6th Generation New Honda City 2021 car was unveiled at an online event in Lahore.

Like various vehicle launches ever, the New Honda City was also a digital presentation, hosted by Aamir H. Shirazi, Atlas Group President Hironobu Yoshimura, HACL manager, and Aamir Nazir, HACL’s General Manager Sales and Marketing, told viewers with the various features of the car and also informed people of the company’s achievements over the years.

While the current City is not the “latest and greatest” car on the market, it is now at least partially competitive with its competitors Toyota Yaris and Changan Alsvin regarding specs and features, making the competition between these cars very interesting.

Problems caused by the epidemic last year.

According to the announcement, the company announced earnings of Rs928.2 million, which translates into an EPS of Rs6.5 million. The result is very different from the same period last year when it posted a loss of Rs511.02 million – due to problems caused by the epidemic last year.

Earlier, Honda reportedly booked about 12,000 units without disclosing details about car prices, proposed market speeches, with multiple orders likely to come from retailers and showroom owners.

Variants

The new Honda City will come in five variants: 1.2LS MT, 1.2LS CVT with a 1,200cc engine producing 88 horsepower and 110 Nm torque, 1.5LS CVT, 1.5LAS MT, and 1.5LAS CVT 1,500cc A cc engine capable of generating 118hp and 145 Nm of torque.

Price

Prices for the  Honda City stores range from PKR 2.599 million basic models to PKR 3.174 million over the 1.5L Aspire CVT line.

The current City model sells for PKR 2.449 million with a base range of 1.3L, while 1.5L Aspire costs PKR 2.859 million.

1.2L MT – Rs2.59 million

1.2L CVT – Rs2.79 million

1.5L CVT – Rs2.89 million

1.5 Aspire MT – Rs3.019 million

1.5L Aspire CVT – Rs3.174 million

The Design of New Honda City

Like the previous model, Aspire includes LED DRL, fog lamps, chrome door sinks, alloy wheels, and shark fin antenna, while low-spec models come with metal wheels caps, colored door handles, and a short antenna. However, even in addition to the line variation, it does not include projector lights and fog lamp type bulbs instead of LEDs.

Interior Feature:

Inside, it has a beige/black theme on the sides of the line, and Aspires offers a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, touch-operated auto AC, rear vents, multi-function steering, cruise control, and push-ups. Button engine starts/stop. Other variations will come with a 7-inch touch screen, an AC switch with standard buttons, and limited controls on the other side of the steering wheel.
