The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has approved introducing the Insaf Food Card Scheme in the province, where all eligible households will receive a grant of Rs 2100 / – per month. On Tuesday, there is CM Mahmood Khan in the chair. The general secretary, senior members of the board revenue, administrative secretaries, and other officials attended the meeting.
Insaf Food Card on the pattern of ATM Card:
Reporting on the cabinet’s decision, Special Assistant to the CM and Public Relations Muhammad Ali Saif said Rs 25.92 billion would be spent under the program, benefiting five million people. The Special Assistant said an agreement would be signed with the Bank of Khyber to issue an Insaf Food Card with an ATM Card pattern. , which will take effect from the next financial year. The selection of eligible people for the card system will be made using real-time Ehsaas System data.
To avail options for the procurement of wheat:
Cabinet approved an increase in wheat prices from 1.2 million tons to 1.4 million metric tons to ensure the availability of wheat in the flour milling industry. Furthermore, Barrister Saif said the KP govt was open to accessing all forms of wheat procurement, i-e, Punjab. However, PASCO & Trade Corporation of Pakistan ensured the availability of wheat flour to consumers province was adequate resources to address basic food needs.
Allotment of land:
The cabinet approved the allocation of 268 Kanal land and 10 marlas of Abbottabad, Auqaf Department, under the Department of Sport, to establish a Sports Complex on a lease basis. Furthermore, He added that the cabinet had approved the solarization of 7000 mosques in the province, including 5,000 masjids in the inhabited settlements and 2000 in the integrated districts. Moreover, he further said that the cabinet had approved the appointment of Abdul Wali Khan as a Member of Editorial & Production and Dr. Sumera Taj as a Member of Paper, Sales & Production in KP Peshawar.
