Special technology Zones are slowly growing across the country. Regarding acceptable development, A high-level delegation of the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) visited the Sindh Secretariat in Karachi to discuss the plan to introduce technology centers, thus creating more opportunities for the Pakistani technology industry.

National Roll-out plan:

The Chairman of STZA explained how the authority is implementing its national plan, which is developing Specialized Technology Centers (STZs) across the country, where more opportunities will create for Pakistan’s growing technology industry to thrive under international standards.

Offering globally competitive incentives:

He further explained that STZA is making efforts to support the technology industry at the grassroots level by providing global competitive incentives to small, medium, and large-scale technology organizations and allowing for a rapidly growing independent market in Pakistan.

Innovation Clusters Strategy:

Javaid Iqbal, Chief commercial Officer of STZA, has launched the Innovation Cluster Strategy, where the most powerful groups across the country will offer incentives and regulatory support. In addition, STZA also spoke briefly about the latest technology investment in Sindh province.

Technology Sector in Sindh:

The leadership of the Sindh Secretariat commended the efforts taken by STZA and expressed their full support and commitment to working closely with STZA to pursue programs and initiatives for the rapid growth of the technology sector in Sindh.

Provide opportunities for the youth:

The Chairman of STZA thanked the Sindh Secretariat for supporting these initiatives. He said the collaboration between government, academia, and industry, would encourage the establishment and provide opportunities for youth in the Sindh technology ecosystem. He also pledged strong support for STZA in establishing Specialized Technology Centers in Sindh and expressed his desire to work with all stakeholders to achieve this goal.

Dr. Sohail Rajput led the Sindh Secretariat team, General Secretary of Sindh, including Asif Ikram, Secretary of Information, Science and Technology, and Special Assistant to CM at IT Tanzeela Umi Habiba.
