Pakistan Becomes Third Fastest Growing Markets on Amazon

Pakistan became the third fastest-growing Amazon market in 2022, just a year after joining the American behemoth retailer list. At the time, the U.S. and China wanted the top two. According to a survey, “Thousands of Pakistani retailers joined the Amazon market in just one year after Amazon opened up to retailers from Pakistan. That’s many more sellers than Indians, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, or Canada. ”

Amazon’s third fastest-growing market:

The e-commerce intelligence company, Marketplace Pulse, says Pakistan is currently the third fastest-growing market to join the Amazon market in the U.S in 2022. According to the company, thousands of Pakistani retailers are very small compared to the two major destinations. , U.S and China, but that is more than any other country in the world, including export destinations such as India and neighboring countries like Canada.

World’s largest Amazon seller groups:

Pakistan is also home to some of the world’s largest Amazon retailer groups, eCommerce by Enablers, Sunny Ali’s Extreme Commerce, and Ecommerce Success Pakistan. However, these groups started long before Pakistan was allowed on the list of traders. Moreover, through this development, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized companies across the country will benefit offered by the platform, which will separate Pakistani trade. This will improve incomes and improve the outlook for the economy.

Over the past decade, there has been an increase in e-commerce in Pakistan as world giants enter the country to develop businesses. However, in May 2021, Amazon added Pakistan to the countries allowed to trade in the market place and within a year, Pakistan jumped to the top, which is why it closed its position among the world’s leading market players.

The previous government led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf announced the E-Commerce Policy in 2019. However, in 2020, the Department of Commerce, led by the former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Abdul Razzak Dawood, began negotiating with Amazon. Negotiations led to Amazon including Pakistan in its list of traders in May 2021. However, about a year later, Pakistan has become the third-highest registered trader on Amazon by 2022.
