Sindh government on Thursday chose to limit congregational prayers in mosques as well as Friday prayers in the nation till April 05 referring to fears of coronavirus outbreak.

The choice was declared by the provincial representative Murtaza Wahab on his Twitter account. He said that the provincial government has taken a significant choice putting a prohibition on congregational prayers at the mosques from masses.

The choice is taken in the wake of counseling every single religious heads showering from various school of considerations and medical specialists, he said.

Just five individuals would be permitted to offer prayers inside the mosques including the constant staff of the mosque, he said commanding that the residents comply with the choice.

Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that they have set the boycott with crushing sadness and after discussion with every religious heads.

We are grateful to them and starting now and into the predicted future the majority will perform congregational compulsory prayers at home and just three to five individuals covering mosques’ staff will implement out the prayers inside mosques, he said.

Prior, in the day, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor ul Haq Qadri declared that the countrywide mosques would stay open in the middle of coronavirus outbreak with restrictions put in to gathering inside their establishes during five-time prayers and Friday prayer.

The choice was taken after counsel with the ministers during a gathering with President Arif Alvi by means of video meeting, said the minister who included that top religious heads had guaranteed their total help for preventive estimates declared by the administration.
