Prime minister Imran Khan has accepted the resignations of Dr Zafar Mirza as State Health Minister and Tania Aidrus as special assistant on Digital Pakistan.
Tania Aidrus declared that she has presented her resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan in ‘more prominent public interest’ over her double citizenship issue.
Tania Airdua tweeted, “Criticism raised towards the state as a result of my citizenship status is blurring the reason for Digital Pakistan. In the more prominent public interest, I have presented my resignation from the SAPM job. I will keep on serving my nation and the PM’s vision to my best potential.”
She said, I came back to Pakistan with the single expectation to contribute and build up the vision of a Digital Pakistan, an idea which you have consistently voiced and I share. She further included, I generally was and will be a Pakistani.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on health Dr Zafar Mirza too left his post.
Dr Mirza clarified that “because of the continuous negative discussion about the job of special assistants and disapproval on the government, I decide to leave. Pakistani individuals deserve a better health care.
He said, he has worked honestly to come up with to this cause and communicated faith that the nation will come out of COVID-19 with a better health care system.
