PSL DRAFT TO BE HELD AT GADDAFI STADIUM LAHORE:

As we heard from different sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will host Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 draft in the coming week. The highly waited event is said to be held on 9^th January,2021. At first it was rumored that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will host PSL in National Stadium, Karachi, but now it is rumored to be held at the open air of Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Open-Air venue:

Due to the dire COVID-19 pandemic situation of the country, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to host the PSL 2021 draft event in open air, to reduce the risk ko exposure as minimal as possible. Because of this Gaddafi Stadium was selected to host the event. According to the sources Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approached the Government of Punjab for the approval of the venue.

Due to the Pandemic situation Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft 2021 will be restricted to minimal number of attendee and important officials only.

Retention Window:

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises is now currently open. The retention window for PSL franchises will remain open for couple of days. Maximum of 8 players from respective squad will be allowed in each PSL franchise.

PSL 2021:

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director High-Performance Centre Nadeem Khan has confirmed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will definitely start from 20^th February 2021 and no further delays are expected yet. Foreign Players availability for the PSL tournament was also confirmed, as ensured by Nadeem Khan.

Bio-secure bubble:

It is very important to maintain health safeties in this era of global pandemic and for that it is said that all the matches will be played in a bio-secure bubble and behind closed doors. Hence it is still unclear whether the PSL 2021 draft will be held in National Stadium, Karachi or the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
