PM Imran Khan’s arrival in Quetta:

On Saturday 9th January 2021, PM Imran khan finally arrived in Quetta to meet the affected families of the victims of the Hazara Community. He met the Governor Balochistan, Amanullah Khan Yasinzai, and Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan.

PM visits after the burial of the victims:

PM Imran Khan promised earlier that he will come to meet the Hazara community protesters after they bury the victim’s bodies. And as promised after the burial, PM Imran khan arrived today in the provincial capital specially to meet the aggrieved families of the slain miners of the Hazara Community.

Negotiations between Government and Hazara Community:

The Hazara community and the government had a negotiation and reached a consensus on late Friday night. According to the negotiation, Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit the affected families in Quetta after the burial of the victim bodies. After this, all the country-wide protests were called off and the roads were opened for traffic.

Official matters discussed with Governor Balochistan:

In the meeting between PM Imran Khan and Balochistan’s top officials, the security situation of the province and all the circumstances aroused after the killing of the miners in Machh incident were discussed. Commander of Southern Command Lt General Sarfaraz Ali also attended the meeting.

According to the sources, PM Imran khan along with Interior Minister Shaikh Rasheed and other federal Ministers will meet the leaders and religious scholars of the Hazara Community to share grief and give condolence for the March tragedy.

Funeral Prayers of the victims:

Shuhda Action Committee accepted the government’s demands and announced to end the protests across the country. After the agreement, the sit-in by the families of the victims of the massacre for the past six days in such cold weather came to an end.

The funeral prayers of the victims were offered in Hazara Town. National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri, SAPM Zulfi Bukhari, and other provincial ministers were present.
