Announcement of launching Food Street:

From January 10th, 2021, and onwards, Deputy Commissioner and Administrator DMC (South) Irshad Ali announced the opening of a new food street in Karachi for the pedestrians to enjoy. The iconic food street on Burns Road Karachi will be opened for the people to move around and enjoy tasty food.

Location of the Food Street:

The new food street in Karachi will expand from Fresco Chowk to Fatima Jinnah Women’s College.

Daily after 7 pm, the roads will be blocked for the traffic from Shahrah-e-Liaquat Fresco to Court Road as according to the UC Administration South. All the vehicles coming from the Araam Bagh towards Fresco will be directed towards M.A Jinnah Road and People’s Square.

Valet Parking and Stickers as proof:

The district administration has announced that all the residents of this are will be given stickers for their vehicles. The stickers will be proof of vehicle parking.

All the people with vehicles wanting to visit Food Street will be given the facility of valet parking. The escape route is also planned in case of any emergencies.

Clean and hygienic environment:

As the food street will be opened after 7 Pm that’s why all the arrangements will be done after this time. The main aim of this project is to provide a clean and hygienic environment and food to all the citizens. An exemplary service will be the priority of the project.

After such a depressing COVID-19 pandemic year, this news will refresh the people of Karachi. Citizens can enjoy and have a great time at food street after such a tiring lockdown. To provide the best food quality and hygienic protection remains the main purpose of this project.
