Previous leaks have hinted at January as the launch timeframe for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series. However, a recent report from Korean news media Biz SBS provides a more precise launch date for the highly anticipated smartphone.

Confirmed Launch Date:

According to Biz SBS, Samsung is planning to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked launch event on January 17 in the United States. However, this date slightly deviates from the previously leaked January 18 launch date by tipster Ice Universe, possibly due to time zone differences between the US and China.

Revenue Boost Strategy:

Samsung’s decision to unveil the Galaxy S24 is motivated by the desire to enhance its revenue, especially in light of the slowdown in semiconductor sales. However, it is expected to play a significant role in achieving this goal.

Upcoming Galaxy S23 FE Release:

In the lead-up to the Galaxy S24 launch, Samsung is set to release the Galaxy S23 FE in South Korea on December 1, priced at €570. However, this marks the first time a Galaxy S FE model has been available in Samsung’s home market since 2020.

Hardware Features:

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, offering boosted clock speeds for improved performance. Geekbench listings reveal a prime core frequency of 3.4 GHz, with the remaining core cluster maintaining similar frequencies.

RAM and Operating System:

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is list with 12 GB of RAM and will come with One UI 6.1 out of box. There is also speculation about an overclocked GPU, although this detail remains unconfirmed.

Gaming Performance:

Samsung is gearing up to boost the gaming performance of the S24 family by introducing support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. This upscaling technology is design to increase frames per second (FPS) in games without overburdening the hardware. However, it is compatible with AMD and rival Nvidia graphics cards, suggesting that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could run PC-level games, rivalling the iPhone 15 in gaming capabilities.
