Pakistan’s First Air Taxi service to commence on June 18
Sky Wings CEO says service will be gradually expanded nationwide.

A private aviation company has announced that two modern aircraft have arrived in Karachi for an air taxi service, said Imran Aslam Khan, the COO of Sky Wings. He mentioned that an online application for the service will be available soon. However, the purpose of the service is to provide emergency transportation in remote areas of Pakistan. The CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, Asim Nawaz, stated that the service would officially launch on June 18 and allow aircraft to land and take off from airstrips.

He also noted that online air taxi services are discounted, and international companies are interested in participating. Initially, the air taxi will operate at nine airports across Pakistan, including private airports, Rahim Yar Khan Airport and Balochistan Airport. Also, the online taxi web service application will be introduced soon. CEO Nawaz said that the service would be gradually expanded nationwide. Moreover, he claimed that the Sky Wings Electric Air Vehicles (EAVs), included in the aviation fleet, are capable of flying at a speed of 300 kilometres per hour and can fly at an altitude of 14,000 feet during the flight.
