Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood on Thursday declared to open again educational institutions from September 15 with severe implementation of standard operating procedures ‘SOPs’.
Additionally, provinces have been approached to plan SOPs for school’s reopening in such manner.
He included, the circumstance of Covid-19 in the nation will be checked on in August and September before the opening of the educational institutions. In the event that the Covid-19 circumstance shows signs of improvement, the institutes will open again from September 15.
In any case, the minister said that educational institutes that go under smart lockdown places would not be authorized to continue academic exercises.
He also said, we are authorizing universities to call PhD students, who are not many in number, to their labs for research work before September 15.
The minister said that it was additionally concluded that exams will be taken in open places under imposing SOPs by keeping up 6-feet separation and wearing masks will be required.
Shafqat Mehmood said the provincial governments will be approved to close the institutions, which don’t take SOPs seriously while the government will screen imposing of the SOPs.
