Sindh govt has decided to launch an intercity bus project: Bilawal Bhutto:
The Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (PPP) said that the Sindh govt has decided to launch an intercity bus project. While addressing a press conference, Bilawal Bhutto announced this news at Bilawal House, Karachi. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the PPP-led Sindh government would launch intercity and intra-city bus projects for Karachi by the end of January 2022.
Sindh govt will fulfill its all commitments:
Bilawal said, “The Sindh government will fulfill all its obligations related to the Red Line project and the Orange Line BRTs and introduce a bus service in Karachi.” Commenting on the recently launched Green Line BRT program, Bilawal viewed that Prime Minister Imran Khan presented an incomplete project.
PML-N over the Green Line bus service:
However, he also criticized PML-N for the Green Line bus service. “Those who presented the Green Line BRT project left it unfinished.”The PPP chairperson also lamented “only” allowing the Sindh government to operate under the now-defunct Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project.
250 buses:
The Sindh provincial government is approved to purchase 250 hybrid buses from China at the Sindh Intra District People’s Bus Service. However, the local cabinet approved the purchase of 250 hybrid buses in September, and these buses will travel to Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
Conclusion:
On Monday, the Sindh government unveiled a new public bus service for intercity and intracity travel, as announced by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
