Punjab Govt Launches Helpline 1421 For Tourist's guidance

Helpline 1421:The Punjab Information Technology Board, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Services, has launched a universal helpline 1421 for tourist advice and complaints in the province. At the event, Punjab Tourism secretory Ehsan Bhutto said that a special team had been trained to comfort the visitors.

Launching ceremony:

According to details, the helpline was launched during a ceremony held at Arfa Technology Park on Friday in the presence of Punjab Tourism Department Secretary Ehsan Bhutto, Deputy Controller Hafiz Ghazanfer, PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, PTEGP Project Manager Waqas Malik, CCC PITB Joint Director Ali Zeb and other senior officials from both parties present at the site.

Various tourist spots in Punjab:

Speaking at the ceremony, Punjab Tourism Minister Ehsan Bhutta said a special team had been made to help and guide the tourists and provide them protection and facilities in case of any untoward incident.

Perform duties in the field:

According to the details, the special tourism corps will consist of 106 people, including 11 female personnel, and 82 will perform field duties. However, he added that groups would be stationed in different tourist destinations and be available to help tourists during the day. Also, the tourism unit is responsible for handling the questions and complaints of tourists.

Cover 3 tourist destinations in Punjab:

In the first phase, the team will be based in Murree and gradually cover other tourist destinations in Punjab, North, Central, and South. Apart from setting up helpline 1421 for tourists, the Department of Tourism Services (DTS) is also involved with Rescue 1122, the Institute of Hospitality Sector, and PITB. All these departments work together to train teams with the necessary skills. In this regard, extensive exercises are being conducted to equip the team with the skills required.
