PSL, a new beginning for Pakistani cricket enthusiasts. Pakistan Super League has been a new passion for the people of the Pakistan. All year round, fans await the annual season of T-20 matches with anticipation. In the subcontinent, cricket (like tea), runs in people’s veins like blood. It’s not just a sport. It’s one of those mandatory things, that qualify a person, as a “Desi”.

The past seasons of PSL have been widely successful and warmly received by fans but it was slightly disappointing that overall most matches were held in Dubai.

However, there’s definitely a pattern of gradually shifting the whole series to Pakistan So that’s something to look forward to.

Teams of PSL 2020:

According to report on ESPNCricInfo, Pakistan’s T20I captain and world’s No.1 ranked batsman Babar Azam heads the retention list for Karachi Kings.

Fast bowler Mohammad Amir, middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed and all-rounder Imad Wasim are also joining him.

Reigning champions Quetta Gladiators have kept faith in Sarfaraz Ahmed along with Mohammad Hasnain and The Gladiators have also withheld Shane Watson, player of HBL PSL 2019, besides Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Nawaz and Naseem Shah

Where as Islamabad United, champions in 2016 and 2018, have retained leg-spin all-rounder Shadab Khan, Asif Ali and Musa Khan along with New Zealand’s Luke Ronchi, player of HBL PSL 2018.

Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez and Shaheen Afridi will once again be in Lahore Qalandars’ colours along with South Africa’s David Wiese, Haris Rauf, Sohail Akhtar and Salman Butt.

As has been tradition and Pakistan Super League has been a new passion, PSL 2020 is also to be held during the months of February and March whereas Preparations are already in place whereas Social media handles of involved clubs have become comparatively more active.

PCB upgraded the Player categories for this year. Drafting is in progress, where Quetta Gladiators got the first pick. Much more is to come.

Pakistan will play all matches in Pakistan this time which is a great news for Pakistani cricket fans.
