Tezgaam lit up on fire while on its way to Rawalpindi, 75 dead

On 31st October, 2019 Tezgaam was travelling from Karachi to Rawalpindi where 75 snuffed out. The passengers were mostly from tableeghi jamat who were going for an event in Lahore which was an annual congregation at Raiwand.

The train was in a district of Rahim Yar Khan where the fire lit up from the two boogies, which is said that the passengers had bought gas cylinders, were making breakfast at 6:18am inside the moving train.

Most of the deaths were due to people who jumped off the train and had got head injuries to escape the flames. There were 207 passengers in the train.

The rail traffic had been suspended till three hours from this incident.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had called Sheikh Rashid in a deep grief over the incident.

Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is been accused by people and Prime Minister Imran khan too for appointing him as a railway minister. Whereas, railway minister announced to give one point five million rupees to the heirs of the dead and half a million to the injured. And he announced to give proper medical facilities and check-up for the injured.
