The federal government has chosen to get the help of private hospitals for the treatment of coronavirus patients taking into account the increasing number of disease.

Islamabad Health Regulatory Authority ‘IHRA’ has commanded private instructing hospitals to give free treatment services to the COVID-19 patients.

In letter to private emergency clinics, IHRA commanded that the organizations give free treatment services to half of the patients in agreement with the guidelines of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council ‘PMDC’. It said that the training hospitals will undoubtedly give free treatment service to half of the patients.

The orders asked the organizations to give half of the beds, laboratory and medicines for the coronavirus patients other than organizing total records.

The IHRC delegates will investigate the hospitals to examine the patients’ status and begins disciplinary activity against the hospitals over violation of the

guidelines. Also, such hospitals will confront cancellation of registration and penalties over violations.

Additionally, an administration group headed by Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar visited various hospitals in Islamabad and looked into the preparations for the COVID-19 patients.
