The Punjab government has restricted the setting up of cattle markets in Lahore and said that Standard Operating Procedures ‘SOPs’ linked with cattle markets would be explained in a couple of days.

Punjab government, taking into account the increasing occurrence of Coronavirus, cattle markets in cities will be arranged in remote zones, while cattle markets won’t be arrange in large populated areas on Eid-ul-Adha.

Also the Sindh government has directly declined authorization to arrange cattle markets over the province.

A letter gave by the local government office didn’t give any reasoning behind the action, however it is accepted that the choice was given taking into account the absence of preventative measures at cattle markets in Sindh during the week and the increasing number of cases of coronavirus in the region.

The choice to boycott cattle markets in the city has been taken in the more extensive concern of the people, while a plan to arrange cattle markets in restricted populated areas and how individuals will purchase animals are being worked with while SOPs will be explained in the following days.
