Let’s glance at some key highlights of DFSK Glory 500 and Seres 3 to figure out what’s coming next. While automakers have not yet confirmed their launch, it is thought that both the Glory 500 and Seres 3 EV will be officially launched in December.

DFSK Glory 500.

The Glory 500 is a B-segment subcompact crossover SUV for DFSK. It is expected to arrive in Pakistan with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 118 hp and 147 Nm of torque. This power is only transmitted to the front wheels via an automatic CVT automatic gearbox.

It is Competing with Kia Stonic and MG ZS.

As one of the modern cars on the market, the Glory 500 includes voice command, automatic lights, electronic parking brake, brake hold assist, panoramic sunroof, 7-inch floating touchscreen, multi-function steering wheel, two airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution technology, and automotive assisting reversing among other methods. It may also be offered in Pakistan within Rs. 3.3 million to Rs. 3.7 million, which means it will compete directly with Kia Stonic and MG ZS.

Seres 3.

The Seres 3 is an all-electric subcompact crossover SUV that borrows the style and construction of the DFSK Glory 500. It has a single electric car mounted on the front axle and a 52 kWh battery pack on the back. The electric car produces a torque of 160 hp and 300 Nm and offers a distance of between 230 km and 405 km depending on the driving style. It currently has only one competitor directly in the Pakistani market – the MG ZS EV.

Safety and convenience features

The Seres 3 has the same safety and simplicity features as its petrol twins but with extras such as various driver assistance features, lane keeper, blind-spot monitoring, collision warning, flexible boat control, independent emergency braking, etc. Although Seres 3 shares most of its components with the DFSK Glory 500, EV drives are more expensive than those based on Internal Combustion Engines. Ergo, Seres 3 may cost between Rs. 5.7 million no Rs. 6.3 million in Pakistan, However, given the growing relationships of SUV people these days, the DFSK Glory 500 and Seres 3 EV will be a popular choice for local car buyers.
