TikTok shared future strategy to improve content moderation keeping in mind Pakistan's laws.

The PTA had prohibited TikTok on Friday after it neglected to completely comply with its directions for development of an effective component for proactive moderation of unlawful online content.

The step was taken, as indicated by the PTA, after the authority said it got various objections from various segments of society against shameless and vulgar content on the TikTok application.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Monday began discussions with TikTok’s senior administration on restarting of services by the Chinese-owned application.

A virtual gathering was held between the two gatherings today with an end goal to have important engagement with PTA, and in compliance with directions of the Authority regarding directing the unlawful online content as per laws of Pakistan.

The public statement said that TikTok’s senior representative featured the attempts that were taken and furthermore shared future system on the best way to improve content moderation remembering Pakistan’s laws.

The director PTA commanded that TikTok’s administration give actual timetables on when the proposed moves can be made.

The two sides set out to proceed with their commitment to show up at a mutually satisfactory mechanism to keep on giving safe internet experience to the users in Pakistan.
