On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the much-anticipated PSL 7 anthem for the event seventh edition worldwide. Sharing an official video of a song on the official Twitter handle, PCB wrote: “The wait is over. We present to you the official PSL7 anthem.” The song “Agay Dekh” is produced by Abdullah Siddiqui and features Atif Aslam and Aima Baig.

PSL 7 Anthem concept is encouraging and motivational:

Pakistan’s cricket has given us a lot of moments to cherish, and this year’s PSL song conveys the spirit of the country and the culture around it,” said PCB, adding ‘Agay dekh’ urging the audience to look beyond the two wins and losses, and enjoy the game on its basis. He went on to say that last year the PSL was deprived of crowds because of Covid-19, but this year we will have fans on the field. “Pakistan’s biggest sporting event is a celebration and festival, and the national anthem honors everyone who is looking forward to this time of year.”

Last year’s big hit was “Groove Mera.”:

With “Agay dekh” we have tried to show how much we love cricket and capture the mood, anger, and ridicule that people love. Last year, the PSL song “Groove Mera,” sung by Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig, Young Stunners, was very popular. It will be the first time Aslam has sung an event song signed by PCB, and Aima has been included in last year’s hit song “Groove Mera.”

Atif Aslam & Aima Baig :

Atif Aslam is a well-known Pakistani artist who has recorded many of the best domestic and international film industries. However, the Pakistani government awarded him the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2008, and he has won more than 50 medals inside and outside Pakistan. On the other hand, Aima Baig is one of Pakistan’s most famous female artists who had many hits and gained national and international recognition over the past seven years.

Conclusion:

The PSL 2022 song, ‘Agay Dekh,’ has garnered over 1.8 million views and over 199k likes on YouTube in less than 24 hours after its release. The song, sung by stars Atif Aslam and Aima Baig, created a different reaction to the cricket team as some fans enjoyed the song while others found it annoying.
