PEMRA banned the repeat telecast of ARY Digital and Hum TV drama serials Ishqiya and Pyar Ke Sadqay.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has restricted the repeat broadcast of ARY Digital and Hum TV show serials Ishqiya and Pyar Ke Sadqay mentioning that the content of the dramas is against the ‘ethics’ of society.

The two shows can’t have a repeat broadcast on the ARY Zindagi or HUM Sitary sub-channels as well.

PEMRA is additionally surveying complaints filed against ARY Digital’s current show Jalan. The channel has been instructed to analyze the content of the show.

The channel has been warned that if further complaints are gotten with respect to the said show or the content isn’t made as per Pakistani qualities, it will be managed under Section 27 of the PEMRA Ordinance.

As per PEMRA, the channels were over and over informed about the objections of watchers with respect to the content. The channels were coordinated to deliver the content as per Pakistan’s social, religious, social and virtues.

As there was no improvement in the content of the shows by the channels, a last warning was given to the channels on August 18 to create the content of the dramas as per the qualities of Pakistan.

PEMRA has coordinated all TV channels, media houses and creation houses to survey the content of dramas in addition to restricting the transmission of Ishqiya and Pyar Ke Sadqay. Even with the expense and time put resources into the drama, if the content of a play is against to public qualities and opposite of the desires for the crowd, the play will be prohibited with no notice.
