Distributor’s Unresponsiveness:

The Punjab Film Censor Board had requested four specific words beeped or removed from the film before its public screening. However, the local distributor, HKC Entertainment, did not respond to the board’s demands, leading to confusion and speculation about a potential movie ban.

Twitter Announcements:

News about the alleged ban on Barbie in Punjab spread through a tweet, which mentioned concerns about “objectionable” content.
