In the recent decades, Pakistani Animation going towards right direction, Pakistan hasn’t had many superhero movies. Not a lot of good movies in general, either. But it seems like we’re heading in the right direction now.
First off, since 2005, thanks to the collaboration between Procter & Gamble and Post Amazers. we saw the “Commander Safeguard’s Mission: Clean Sweep” series. This brought us “Commander Safeguard”, as Pakistan’s first superhero.
Then in 2013, thanks to Unicorn Black, we got “Burka Avenger”. Pakistan’s first female superhero.
Finally in 2015, we got see three brave children, each having unique superpowers, in a movie called “3 Bahadur”.
But all in all, this a very small list. We might see many more in the future. But for now, these alone are perhaps as relevant as any Pakistani superheroes have ever been. All of these mentioned above, have also been aired internationally. So, not just national successes, but international as well.
And now, we might possibly be looking at 4th in line, of our most beloved superheroes. Renowned all round entertainer, Ahmed Ali Butt, is all set to rock the big screen as “FatMaN”. This was revealed just a few days ago, by the FatMan himself, via his official instagram handle (@ahmedalibutt). The anticipated film is to be released in 2020.
