Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Control Dr Sania Nishtar on Friday said under the ‘Ehsaas Kafalat program’, well deserved women will be given cell phones so as to encourage them on financial transactions.
Tending to the starting function here in Islamabad, She said that under the ‘Ehsaas Kafalat program’, 2,000 rupees will be given to each well deserves family every month.
She included, agreements have been made with two banks to open biometric ATMs to encourage the getting of cash under Ehsaas Kafaalat program.
She further said that Kafalat has been opened in 70 areas the nation over while the plan of remaining locale will be given soon.
All current qualified recipients of the Benazir Income Support Program will keep on being a part of ‘Ehsaas Kifalat program’.
The total numbers of expected Kafalat beneficiary women are around 7,000,000. Enlistments of one million families in 70 locale have just started and these families will begin accepting Kafalat stipends from next two months.
Progressively beneficiary families will be included through desk enrollment and different regions will be secured before the years over.
Kafalat is a piece of the more large-scale Ehsaas program, where ladies will have better access to chances to graduate themselves out of poverty.
