Pakistan Aims to construct 10 dams, PM Khan:

By 2028, Pakistan aims to manufacture at least ten dams all over the country, the Prime Minister says. In this regard, Imran khan visited the Mohmand Dam to analyze its progress and manufacture. While addressing a conference in Peshawar, PM Khan says that the government is beginning the era of the Dam construction program.

While addressing the ceremony, the Premier says that the Mohmand Dam is resolving the issues of electricity and water of its region. The PM is confident that the authorities will complete its establishment within time. The Construction of this Dam begins in May 2019. Despite the coronavirus outbreak, its construction didn’t stop. This Dam is situated on River Swat. The objective of its construction on the Swat river is to prevent flooding.

Talking about the cost of Dam, it is about 309.6 million PKR. Additionally, it will have a height of 213 million. Moreover, the water storage capacity of this Dam is about 1.293 million acre-feet. This aids in generating about 800 megawatts of electricity respectively.

PM Imran Khan had a meeting with Wapda Chairman:

During his visit to Mohmand Dam, the Prime Minister had a meeting with Muzammil Hussain, the Chairperson of Wapda. Furthermore, it seems that the water and electricity development agencies intend to finish the project by 2025.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister pays a visit to Peshawar to inaugurate the cost-effective housing scheme. In this regard, about 2000 residential flats will be provided to the Laborers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under this campaign, the PM allotted about 3% of houses to widows and 2% are for the disabled. In addition, the housing project also contains a cost-effective school with 30 classrooms.
