World Environment Day: PM calls on global powers for united action

World Environment Day is celebrated in Pakistan and around the world on Sunday to highlight environmental challenges and raise awareness about how the global community can address the challenges of climate change. Moreover, the theme for World Environment Day 2022 is “Only One Earth,” which was viewed by millions of people with a focus on ecological sustainability. However, PM Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday called on the world to take part in addressing the various challenges of climate change on World Environment Day.

President Dr. Arif Alvi:

In his message at the event, Arif Alvi said the negative effects of climate change need to be addressed through sustainable consumption practices, protecting natural water resources, ensuring fertile soil, and taking steps to transform the world by establishing relationships with all people authorities involved in saving our planet Earth.

PM Shehbaz Sharif’s message:

In a message on World Environment Day from his Twitter account, the prime minister said the theme for this year’s day was “Only One Earth” and was a call for global unity to address the various challenges of climate change. It is important for developing countries to need climate funding to combat environmental hazards, Shehbaz Sharif said.

Sherry Rehman:

Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has said the effects of climate change would hurt the future of the country and future generations without taking the necessary steps to mitigate the climate earth mother. Furthermore, a clean and healthy environment is only possible if every citizen fulfills their nationality and moral obligation.

Punjab Governor:

Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman said pollution and global warming are global challenges, including in Pakistan. The government has recently abolished the sales tax on solar panels as we need to move towards renewable energy to reduce global warming. Furthermore, the Department of Marine Affairs celebrated World Environment Day by planting mangroves in Mai Kolachi, Karachi.
