Time for Snowboarding and Festivals in Malam Jabba

International Snowboarding Championship:

At the grand point of Malam Jabba tourist spot, in the valleys of Swat, the Pakistan International Snowboarding Championship and Festivals has been started.

Snowboarding in Malam jabba is a thrilling game in which the rider slides from a snow-covered slope on a snowboard and It is both recreational and competitive activity.

Participants from Belgium, Afghanistan, and Pakistan are arriving to take part in this event. More than 44 national and international participants’ players have arrived which also includes women players in snowboarding Malam jabba

Organizers of the event:

This amazing event of snow boarding in Malam jabba is organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KP-CTA) along with Tourism, Sports, Archaeology, Culture, Museums, and Youth Affairs Departments. 

Along with the tournament for snowboarding games, traditional food and music festivals have also been organized. Festivals are for entertaining the tourist and visitors.

Thrilling Competitions and Music Program:

Today 23^rd January 2021, the tournament will take place according to the program men and women, joint and parallel joint slalom will take place first so in which the participants will show their skills. In the evening, there will be a Music program and festival organized for the entertainment of the players and tourists.

The closing ceremony of the International Snowboarding Championship and Festival will be held tomorrow on 24^th January 2021.

Yoga Training and Snowboarding:

All the participants in Malam Jabba will also be given Yoga training by a yoga trainer of Gilgit-Baltistan, Mahgul Kabir.

Snowboarding is so popular that it is included in the Winter Olympic Games

Winter Paralympic Games at the international level. The only skiing resort in Pakistan is in Malam Jabba with a height of 8500 feet above sea level.

According to the organizers, this game will help in sending a positive message to the whole world and will allow to bring peace and increase tourist activities in Malakand, Hazara divisions, and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
