SOPs for Namaz-e-Eid, NCOC:

The NCOC, National Command, and operation center reveal the guidelines for people to follow while performing the Eid prayers in Masjids. NCOC issues the SOP guidelines all over the country and asks people to follow them strictly.  The first and foremost SOP is to hold the Eid prayers on open grounds and open areas. If people offer prayer inside the Mosques, then there should be a proper ventilation system. Moreover, Asad Umar asks the heads of Masjids and Eidgahs to establish the thermal scanners at the entrance.

Furthermore, the adults, elderly (above 50), and especially children who are not well are advised to offer their Eid prayer in their homes. In the Mosques and Eidgahs, the people have suggested praying at a distance of six feet apart. Moreover, NCOC forbids the greetings after the prayer, such as hugging and handshaking completely.

There will be two-three Eid prayer at a single Venue:

Asad Umar, the chairman of NCOC, decides to control mobility across the country. Moreover, Doctor Faisal Sultan, the special assistant to the Prime Minister, also participated in the meeting through a video link. As a matter of fact, the goal of these SOP guidelines is to control the spread of coronavirus. The government is taking necessary steps for the welfare of the citizens.

In this matter, the NCOC declared that there would be two to three prayers at one place with alternate timings to avoid the public crowd and maintain people’s minimum strength. Also, the prayer timing will be reduced. NCOC asks Worshippers to bring their prayer mats and keep their distance from one another for safety reasons.

Final Thoughts:

NCOC makes it compulsory to wear face masks while entering the Masjids or Eidgahs. All the worshippers are scanned through the thermal scanner before entering into Masjids. SOPs also say to perform ablution at homes. Furthermore, NCOC also calls for the preparation of banners and flexes, which highlights the COVID-19 protocols. The government advises placing the banners on the prominent places of Masjids and Eidgahs to provide awareness. Also, the parking areas are occupied for the management of the crowd, respectively.
