All-rounder Shahid Afridi Expressed his Desire to Play with Quetta:

Shahid Afridi, the star player of Multan Sultan has not played in the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League. This is because he is undergoing training to stay fit for upcoming matches. However, in an interview, he says that he wants to play his last PSL innings against Quetta Gladiators.

Shahid Afridi was suffering from a Back injury that is why the physicians didn’t allow him to continue the remaining matches. Luckily, Multan Sultan won the PSL-6. In fact, during the interview, Shahid Afridi said that he badly missed the team and the exciting and nail-biting matches of PSL.

Afridi was constantly in touch with his team members throughout the innings:

“I remained connected with Muhammad Rizwan, Sohaib Maqsood, and Shan Maqsood through text messages and phone calls,” said Afridi. Moreover, he continues to guide all the players and share his experience of playing in the big matches, especially when it comes to Finale.

Furthermore, he also appreciates the Pakistan Cricket Board for organizing the remaining matches in Abu Dhabi despite difficult conditions due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition, he says that the teams didn’t get the reward for their hard work for what they deserved.

During the interview, the spokesperson asked him about the scope of PSL in comparison with other leagues to which Afridi replied that there is no difference between PSL and Indian league IPL despite the amount given to players.

The main objective of PSL is to bring new talent. In the Pakistan super league, we have successfully produced many brilliant players.

When the interviewer asked him about the preparation of the team for the T20 series. Shahid Afridi replied that the preparations had been started eight to nine-month prior to this tournament. However, he added that there were many variations in the training due to the changes in dates and places. This also caused difficulties for the team.
