Sindh district on Saturday announced that schools and colleges in 12 districts would remain closed till 6TH of June, including private and public sectors. Districts including Hyderabad, Badin, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, and all districts in Karachi as the positivity ratio rate of coronavirus is higher than 5%. In the meeting held on Saturday, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali shah mentioned that the rapid increase in positive cases was during the Eid-ul-Fitr break. 

The highest number of cases observed in the district east left Karachi’s virus rate at 13.97%. The positivity ratio in Balochistan is higher in Quetta, while in Punjab, Attock is the highest rate of the virus. Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Khanewal, Khushab, Lahore, Layyah, Lodhran, Mianwali, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Okara, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, and Toba Tek Singh are also included in this list. Coming to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abbottabad, Bannu, Buner, Charsadda, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Haripur, Kohat, Karam, and Mardan Nowshera, Peshawar, Swabi, and Swat thus the educational institutions will remain closed there.

The public and private Schools and Colleges sectors contradicted the government decision and looking forward to keeping the schools closed in Karachi. Permission would be granted to reopen the educational institution in that area where there is a low positivity rate, excluding Karachi and Hyderabad, said by associated chairperson Haider Ali. Haider Ali also drew more than 10 million students across whose exams are delayed due to this pandemic.

He pointed out that closing school will eventually be led to wasting another whole year of a student. Classes will be resumed in Islamabad, 20 districts in Punjab, 19 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan from May 24. Announced by the NCOC, the school in the area with less than 5% coronavirus can reopen.
