Pakistan Government is all set to upgrade PTV News and Sports into HD:
The PTV News and sports channels intend to upgrade into high-definition by 1st June 2021. The minister of broadcasting and information technology, Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, addresses the media at the conference in Islamabad. The minister further says that the reforms which were started in 2018 are now resumed. Furthermore, the minister also states that he has given a limited period to complete converting PTV news into HD. This project is pending since 2019.
In addition, Fawad Husain says that the English Channel will be launching soon. Moreover, in the public-private collaboration modes, the studios of Lahore and Karachi will be modernized. The objective of the broadcasting minister is to convert Pakistan Press into the Digital news industry. In this regard, Fawad Chaudhary intends to take initial steps to develop the news and advertisement agency into a digital platform. This is the only way to revamp the external wing, he added.
Fawad Chaudhary intends to support Young drama & Filmmakers:
While addressing the media, the minister says that renewal of the drama and film industry is the first and foremost priority. These projects should be started on the international level. The making would be on the lives of Tipu Sultan and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, respectively, he added.
The information technology and broadcasting minister promise to fully support the young dramas and filmmakers. For this purpose, he intends to give loans up to 50 million so that the young generation can establish themselves. In social media, he tweeted that the houses under PM’s housing campaign will be provided to both television and advertising journalists, respectively
While concluding the conference, the broadcasting minister said that along with the up-gradation of PTV news and PTV support channels to HD, the Pakistan governments ensure providing salaries to the workers without any delay. Also, the digital marketing experts will be delivered with their total wages on time. The Government will consider digital marketing as a priority from now.
