PTI Government Provides the Budget of Rs 8,400 Billion For Year 2021-22

From Poverty to Growth – PTI Government is making efforts to establish Pakistan

On Friday, the PTI government offered a mega-budget of Rs 8,400 Billion for years to come. In this regard, Shaukat Tarin, Finance Minister of Pakistan, declares major tax relaxation for several regions countrywide. Also, the PTI government fixes the GDP growth tax at 4.8% respectively.

The PTI government offers funds for several programs and departments like Ehsaas Program (Rs 260 billion), developmental programs for public sectors (Rs 900 Billion). This amount will be used for the distribution of water, the structure of roads, and tackling climatic changes.

Furthermore, the government aims to spend Rs 12 Billion in the agriculture sector. For defense, PTI provides a budget of Rs 1,370 billion. Also, Rs 23 billion is secured for dam building. Similarly, the government has set specific amounts for several sections countrywide. Some other segments are as follows:

  • Manufacture of Gwadar Highway & Airport (Rs 244 Billion)
  • Establishment of energy & power projects (Rs 118 Billion)
  • Manufacture of the power plant in Jamshoro (Rs 22 Billion)
  • However, the transformation plan of Karachi takes Rs 739 billion
  • For the development of poor areas, the PTI government is providing Rs 100 Billion.
  • Moreover, for the coronavirus vaccination management, the government spends up to Rs 1.1 Billion so far.

And the list goes on.

Shaukat Tarin is the third person to present the PTI’s budget in the last three years:

While speaking in the national assembly, Tarin figured out the budget. While, the opposition acted against the government. The other parties raised slogans against the PTI government. Moreover, several members criticized the huge budget.

Seeing this protest against the government, Tarin Says, “We faced many challenges on our way but we managed to overcome every difficulty with courage under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan”. The coronavirus pandemic proves to be a big challenge for the government but we overtake all three devastating waves of this deadly virus efficiently.

Conclusion:

For the year 2022, the government has already set the target of tax collection which is about Rs 5,829 billion. But it is a mystery that how the government will manage to earn this much money. Moreover, the government also declares an increment in the pensions by 10%.
