ISLAMABAD, Prime Minister Imran Khan paid a day-long visit to Gwadar on Monday to assess the progress of various development programs. During the visit, the premier was briefed on ongoing development activities in the area, where he also liaised with relevant authorities and project staff at China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Government’s development strategy

Explaining the provincial government’s strategic partnership with the local government, PM said, we will continue to expand our partnership to facilitate investors in Gwadar. “We have to use our friendship with China and ensure that we benefit from their knowledge in various fields,” he said. Speaking about his government’s development strategy, he said, “countries cannot succeed if development is not inclusive.” In addition he will also be given a detailed forum on the progress of the South Balochistan Development Package in line with the government’s vision for a regional focus.
