PPP’s leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari speaks about the attack on Journalists:

On Thursday, PPP’s Leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari says that he is going to write a letter to Faiz Hameed, the Director-General Lt Gen of ISI, Inter-Service-Intelligence, about paying attention to the defamation of the institution which takes place due to the attacks on journalists.

Moreover, PPP’s Leader raises this issue in the Standing Committee of Human Rights of the National Assembly. Additionally, several journalists attended the conference including Absar Alam, Matiullah Jan, Hamid Mir, Asad Toor, and Asma Shirazi.

In this regard, Absar Alam takes his Twitter account to support Bilawal Bhutto’s statement.

Moreover, during the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto assisted the Interior committee to present the list of criminal cases and as well as the cases that they registered for the cessation of Electric Crimes action.

Furthermore, in the case of Absar Alam, police say that they have updated the committee about the footage and all the video clips had sent to NADRA. Unfortunately, NADRA takes no action.

Additionally, police say that they extracted the CCTV footage with great effort. In fact, they were blurred. A special investigation team reached the incident site to collect the proofs.

Most Journalists Attacks took place in the PTI Governance:

During the meeting, PPP’s Leader asked police officials about how many journalist attacks took place in 2018 in Islamabad. They replied that they get reports of about 50 attacks in total. And out of 50, 44 attacks were of the personal sort. Furthermore, out of these 44 cases, they collected about 20 challans. In addition, they reject 5 cases Also, the remaining 9 are under investigation. After the police statement, Bilawal says that if any institute is a part of this crime then we should speak against it. In addition, if the name of any agency is used in the wrong way, then it’s also wrong.

Conclusion:

At the end of the meeting, PPP’s Leader acknowledged all the audience. Ir includes journalists and police officials to attend the meeting. In addition, he says that he didn’t get any suitable answers. To wind up the conversation, he says that we are hopeful to get a more powerful bill that is in the favor of journalists.
