PM Announces a Big development project for GB:

On Friday, PM Announces a five-year development project worth 370 billion in Gilgit Baltistan. In GB, while addressing the ceremony, he states that the government had never spent this huge amount in this area. The government will continue to support these areas, he added. While speaking in the ceremony, PM says that he has been waiting for a long time to bring this plan for Gilgit. We aim to bring advancement in precise terms to this area. Furthermore, carrying such a development plan in this area is an excellent accomplishment for Gilgit Baltistan and as well as for Pakistan.

The government decides to Bring Potential to Gilgit Baltistan – PM

The prime minister refreshes the memory that he has an early collaboration with GB in his school days. He admired the beauty and aesthetic side of this area. He says that the beauty of Gilgit is noticeable. The government intends to bring more advancement to make this area more valuable. Additionally, for the improvement in the tourists association, the hydel power generators and local distribution centers will be developed. This plan includes the development of centers in the Babusar tunnel. Besides, PM intends to give scholarships to the youth and work for the upgrading of health services.

The government also put the sewerage and sanitation system under consideration. There is a great need for a proper sanitation system due to the immediate expansion in Skardu and Gilgit Baltistan, PM stated. Further, talking about industrialization, PM says that the small and medium-scale industries would be successfully established, such as food processing industries of apricots.

“The Government is also concern about the development of the infrastructure and airports,” PM states as Skardu is entertaining the international flights too. Regarding this, PM also talks about the enhanced facilities for tourists. “Real potential of Gilgit Baltistan depends upon tourism as the successful tourism takes Gilgit Baltistan to another level,” Imran Khan emphasized. Tourism benefits both Pakistan and Gilgit Baltistan. If tourism is controlled reasonably, then we don’t need to ask for funds anymore. There is another way out.

Asad Umar, the Federal Minister of planning, development, and Special initiatives, also addresses the ceremony and provides details about the project. About nine projects of electricity with a capacity of two-fifty megawatts are added successfully in this development project. The Federal Minister also provides details of the road projects, water projects, training and skill development for tourism projects, food industries, entrepreneurship, biodiversity, the development of infrastructure, and the broadening of the network from 3G to 4G services. Furthermore, the Prime minister intends to initiate Ehsas Nashonuma (nutrition) and secondary education scholarships and Ehsas’ “One Woman One Account.”
