Pakistan Martyrs Day: Govt announces public holiday on May 25
Pakistan Private Schools Federation announced that all schools would remain closed on May 25.

The government has declared to celebrate “Pakistan Martyrs Day” on May 25 2023—the day on which the sacrifices of martyrs for Pakistan will be reminded. Moreover, The govt of Pakistan has announced that May 25 will be observed as a Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan (Pakistan Martyrs’ Day) and declared it a public holiday as well.

Due to fake announcements on social media:

The Government of Pakistan has declared a public holiday on May 25, a local news channel had claimed earlier in the day. However federal government has not announced a public holiday for May 25, 2023, due to fake announcements on social media declaring Thursday as Pakistan Martyrs’ Day.

Honoring the Sacrifice:

In a significant move, the govt of Pakistan has declared May 25 as Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan, a day dedicated to honoring the brave martyrs of the nation.
