The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a mobile app called Pak-ID which will be used to enter biometrics and scan documents using smartphones. The mobile application will enable citizens to apply for a national identity card using the Pak-ID website.

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the app at the event, praising NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik’s view of the mobile app “as a step towards performing the PM vision of over-all registration and a digital Pakistan.” The statement added that with the launch of the NADRA Pak-ID app, Pakistan has become an innovator in the ID Management Industry.
