On Tuesday, the Sindh government notified new Omicron variant restrictions, based on the city’s ongoing vaccination, will take effect from December 1 to 15. According to a statement from the Sindh Home Ministry, Karachi, Sukkur, and Sanghar are listed by the National Command and Operation Center as cities with “good progress in vaccination,” and the remaining areas in the province are under “low vaccination.” progress.

Gatherings:

Due to new Omicron variant both indoor and outdoor events, including weddings, are allowed, but only for vaccinated people. In Karachi, Sukkur, and Sanghar, more than 500 people are allowed to have indoor parties, and more than a thousand are permitted in outdoor gatherings. In some areas, the list of guests should be limited to 300 people for indoor events and 1,000 people for outdoor events.

Dining:

Indoor and outdoor meals are allowed for vaccinated people until midnight and Hotel accommodation is 70 percent in Karachi, Sukkur, and Sanghar, and 50 percent in other cities. However Travel facilities and driving facilities will remain open 24/7 with strict monitoring of COVID-19 SOPs.

Business Hours:

Markets and businesses cannot operate after 10 p.m., while essential services such as pharmacies, medical centers, vaccination centers, petrol pumps, CNG stations, etc. allowed working 24/7.

Offices:

Offices can also operate at a 100 percent capacity as long as all employees are fully vaccinated.

Schools & Colleges:

All educational institutions are allowed to operate 100 percent. Schools have been asked to speed up the immunization program for students over 12 years of age.

Public Transport & Railways:

Public transport and trains will operate 80 percent with the approval of the mask.

Recreation:

Amusement parks, water sports, and swimming pools may remain open at 70 percent of the residences of Karachi, Sukkur, and Sanghar, and with a population of the remaining cities and the remaining 50 sections. Public parks, however, will remain open under strict COVID-19 regulations.

Sports:

Contact games are allowed, but only for vaccinated people. In addition, sanctuaries, gymnasiums, and movie theaters will remain open to fully vaccinated people.

Wearing masks:

Wearing masks shall be compulsory in public places.
