The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday authorized an Rs0.83 climb in power tariff as fuel re arrangement on account of varieties in the fuel charges for the period of July 2020.

Although, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill said that updates on electricity cost going up is not true.

Some fake news have been doing the rounds that the expense per unit of electricity has been expanded. This is not true news. Rs0.83 fuel alteration has been done, he tweeted, including this is done each month based on the cost of oil.
