NED Graduate:

According to the recent news, it was revealed that the leading person of Mercedes-Benz transition to the Electric Vehicle arena is a Karachi born NED University of Engineering and Technology by the name of Sajjad Khan.

Profile of Sajjad Khan:

According to the profile of Sajjad Khan on the Daimler website, he is a German Pakistani with a degree in Computer Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology along with a specialization in Product Engineering.  

Daimler Chrysler:

In 2001, Sajjad Khan joined Daimler Chrysler AG. He worked in the department of development of the infotainment systems of its cars. In 2004 he was transferred to the Materials Purchasing Department, where he was responsible for the procurement of electric components of the vehicles.

In 2007, Sajjad Khan left the company and joined MAGNA International as a director of the e-car and electronics unit, where Khan got his first experience in the Electronic Vehicles (EV) arena.

BMW Group AG:

In 2011, Sajjad Khan as Executive Vice President joined BMW Group AG. Khan headed the development of Connected Drive Worldwide Technology of BMW Group AG. Following the appointment as the Vice President of Digital Vehicle and Mobility, Sajjad Khan became an integral part of Daimler AG in spring 2015.

Electronic Vehicles (EV):

According to the reports, Mercedes-Benz is confident to make a rapid and grand entrance into the EV market very soon. The company is determined to introduce 10 EQ models in the market within the next two years. The technical prowess and leadership skills of Sajjad Khan are helping the biggest German Auto-giant company to achieve the goals. 

Sajjad Khan said: Well if we do our job well, we will offer every customer a system that is easy and safe to use and does not overwhelm.
