Engagement with LG to Supply a foldable iPhone:

There are rumors for years that a well-known Apple is working on a folding iPhone, but statements have bits of advice that Samsung is eager to provide foldable OLED displays for the project.

Onwards with LG, Apple is also claimed to be sourcing mock-up displays from Samsung for a so-called “iPhone Fold “device. Presently Apple sources display panels from the pair LG Display and Samsung Display. Maybe the Cupertino company is working with the two suppliers and has not to refuse one for the other.

According to a senior industry executive, as reported by the Korea Times:
“Given Apple’s shift to actively adopt low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) technology, and with LG Display investing to guarantee volume capacity and stabilize production yields of LTPO-based OLED panels at its E6 manufacturing line in Paju, the company’s main display cluster, LG may supply these foldable displays for Apple’s new iPhone model.”

A January report specifies that Apple was launching early development work on folding iPhone. All long, the level of achievement was said not to have proceeded above the screen.

Over the past few years, it is evident in the numerous patents and patent applications where the company works on folding devices technology.
