The Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line project started yesterday and includes completing the road from Tank Chowk near Malir Halt to Safoora Chowrangi in the first phase. Construction will disrupt traffic flow, and Sindh Road Police have advised motorists to pass the Tank Chowk to Saforra Chowrangi by Check Post No. 6, Malir Cantt trail. The traffic police also provided alternative routes to their diversion program.

Travelers from Tank Check / Model Colony can take Cantt Road to Pehalwan Goth. You can take the route to Kamran Chowrangi and connect to University Road from there or go to Johar Chowrangi by taking the Habib University route.

Route of the Karachi Red Line BRT:

Dr. Adnan Qadir, Chairman of the Department of Urban Engineering and Infrastructure at NED, said the red line starts at Tank Chowrangi and goes to Safoora Chowrangi via Race Course Road. Take Karachi University Road to New MA Jinnah Road and end at Naumaish Chowrangi. Dr. Qadir said a three-story building would be built on Naumaish Chowrangi to park Green Line, Red Line, and Yellow Line buses. The Green Line, the Red Line, and the Yellow Line all end in Naumaish Chowrangi. Dr. Qadir said there was a plan to start the bus from Naumaish to Merewether Tower.
