Digital Pakistan Vision:

IT Minister Aminul Haq, said PKR 31 billion would be invested in Pakistan to increase connectivity over the next three years. He told 5G technology would be available in December 2022, in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s “Digital Pakistan Vision.”

180 million mobile phone users:

Pakistan now has 180 million mobile phone users, of which 85 million are 3G / 4G customers. Jazz, sponsored by Netherlands-based Veon Ltd; Telenor Pakistan, backed by Telenor controlled by the Norwegian government; Zong, owned by China Mobile; and Ufone, owned by state-owned Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd, owns the country’s telecommunications market.

Government’s pro-business policies 

He went on to say that government policies that support businesses have led to the growth of the Pakistani IT industry. He pointed out that the country had spent $ 2.1 billion on IT services in the last financial year, up from $ 1.4 billion last year. The govt has set a target of Rs 3.5 billion next year.

Smartphones for everyone is our objective:

In his introduction, the IT Minister Aminul Haq commended P@SHA to represent software and technology businesses. He said that we want everything to be digital, and Parliament would be computerized, adding that the plan would soon be available on tablets. More than 180 million people in the country use cell phones and new cell phones are being produced in Pakistan. According to an IT  Minister added, “Our goal is for everyone’s smartphones.”
