ICC Cricket Awards 2022: Nominees List and Categories Revealed

As the year 2022 is ending, the ICC Cricket Awards 2022 will finally be handed out. It is time for the International Cricket Council to recognize and reward the best international cricketers of both sexes for their performances in the last 12 months. This award has been held since 2004, and the number of awards in each category changes yearly. However, this year there are 13 categories across ODI, Test, and T20 formats. These awards include the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy for the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year and the Sir Garfield Sobers Award for the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year.

Nominations for ICC Cricket Awards 2022:

 ICC is yet to announce nominations for all categories but has announced nominations for all disciplines. However, they have revealed some of their nominations, including the big one in the world’s eyes.

ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of 2022:

• Amelia Kerr of New Zealand
• Nat Sciver of England
• Alyssa Healy of Australia

ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of 2022:

• Babar Azam of Pakistan
• Adam Zampa of Australia
• Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe
• Shai Hope of West Indies

ICC Women’s T20 -Cricketer of 2022:

• Smriti Mandhana of India
• Nida Dar of Pakistan
• Sophie Devine of New Zealand
• Tahlia McGrath of Australia

ICC Men’s T20- Cricketer of the Year :

• Suryakumar Yadav (India)
• Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe)
• Sam Curran (England)
• Mohammad Rizwan (Pakistan)

ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year :

• Renuka Singh ( India)
• Darcie Brown  (Australia)
• Alice Capsey (England)
• Yastika Bhatia (India)

ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year:

• Marco Jansen from South Africa
• Ibrahim Zadran from Afghanistan
• Finn Allen from New Zealand
• Arshdeep Singh from India

The remaining fields and their candidates will be announced soon. The nominees for the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year, the Sir Garfield Sobers Award for the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year, and the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award for the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year will announce on December 30.
