As the next edition of PSL approaches, the Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the order for the PSL 8 2023 player draft. However, the order has been finalized and released today, and we finally know which franchises can pick their players in what order. The first choice always has more options, so the order is very important. The draft candidates were determined by drawing lots with the presence of all parties involved. The event was held at the Pakistan Cricket Board office on Monday, October 31, 2022. All six representatives of the franchise owners involved were present at the event.
PSL 8 2023 Draft Player List:
- Lahore Qalandar
- Quetta Gladiators who won in 2019
- Multan Sultans who won in 2021
- Karachi Kings who won in 2020
- Islamabad United winning in 2016 and 2018
- Peshawar Zalmi
Usman Wahla, the PSL 8 Tournament Director, informed there have also opened a player registration window for foreign players and received encouraging responses indicating the popularity of HBL PSL and the number of top players willing to participate.
The details of the HBL PSL 2023 Player Draft will be soon out. PSL 8 matches will held in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan. There will be 18 draft rounds, including 3 platinum divisions, 3 diamond divisions, 3 gold divisions, 5 silver divisions, 2 emerging divisions, and 2 supplementary divisions. Furthermore, the Wahla also informed us about the upcoming PSL with four venues – Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. He also desired to pull the PSL event that has a standing. The Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan Super League are now working together to make this new tournament an exclusive event for the fans and a friendly event for the crowd.
