Pakistan Railways is likely to start running Green Line passenger train from 20th December as an excellent service that will generate revenue for the sector and facilitate passengers. He pointed out that this decision was taken on the orders of Khawaja Saad Rafiq, the Minister of Railways, who wanted the best preparation for Green Line train passengers.

The minister has asked officials to reduce the travel time of the Green Line Passenger Train from Lahore to Karachi to less than 20 hours, which restores passengers’ confidence. Moreover, he continued: It was also agreed to provide the best travel services in the Green Line trains, including high-quality food and low ticket prices. The Hygiene services on train:
The Ministry of Railways said that Pakistan Railways would also speed up operations by incorporating the private sector to enhance passenger train services. The general hygiene services on trains, and at key railway stations Lahore, Faisalabad, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Peshawar, Khanewal, Sukkur, Sahiwal, Multan, and Bahawalpur were not up to standard. He said that the preferential acceptance of private sector services could solve the sanitary conditions of stations and trains and restore customers’ trust in this sector. The government is taking several steps to improve the performance of Pakistan Railways and provide maximum facilities to the public.
