The Government of Pakistan refused to put Additional Taxes on Internet Usage:

The government of Pakistan is not implementing additional taxations on SMS, calls as well on internet data usage”. On Saturday, Shaukat Tarin, the finance minister said.

Previously on Friday, the government released the budget for 2021-2022 which implemented the additional taxes on mobile networking services like SMS, calls, and internet usage. But, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Cabinet refused this increment

In the post-budget speech in Islamabad, the finance minister, Shaukat Tarin says that the Government of Pakistan establishes a growth-bearing budget. Moreover, the government aims to sustain the growth parameter of the country.

Furthermore, “the taxation target for the year 2022 will be Rs 500 Billion”, the minister added. Additionally, the goal is to increase earnings by taxations and gain dollars by increasing imports countrywide.

The new budget will bring opportunities for poor community:

Any person who refuses to pay taxes will not be able to run from the law. The government implements taxes on every large-scale retail market. As the figures show that these markets earn up to Rs 1500 Billion. Moreover, Train is confident that this new budget will bring ease and relaxation for the poor and introduces new opportunities for their welfare.

In addition, small welfare banks can now receive loans from commercial banks. At the initial stages, the government set the target to facilitate around 4 million people. Also, the PTI government is providing around 500,000 loans worth Rs 150,000. For the construction of housing schemes, the government sets a budget of Rs 2 Million.

Conclusion:

“The country cannot withdraw until its economic condition is stable”, says Shaukat Tarin. Furthermore, “our saving rate is 15% and the rate of investment is 16%.  All we need is an increment of 20% in the growth rate of exports. To conclude, Tarin says that if we don’t earn, “how can we gain desired growth rate”.
