Government Bans Jaloos and Marches; only Majalis will be Conducted with SOPs:

The government bans the processions and jaloos for Youm-e-Ali this year.  People can attend only Majalis with proper SOPs. NCOC doesn’t allow people to do marches or processions on the 4th of May, 2021, i.e., 20th Ramzan. However, the Sindh government refuses this decision of NCOC and says that the jaloos and marches are held as per schedule.

Asad Umar conducts a meeting to announce not to do precessions or marches on Youm-e-Ali (RA). There will be no march throughout Pakistan on 20th Ramazan. The Karachi government opposes this decision. On the other hand, DC of South Irshad Sodhar announces that the jaloos will be held as before. No changes will take place. The notice from the Karachi Ministry came on Friday.

Only Majalis Gatherings will be Allowed with strict SOPs:

People can accumulate in Majalis just as they gathered for the Ramzan prayers. All the participants have to follow the SOPs. NCOC took this decision by noticing the drastic spread of coronavirus all over Pakistan as social distancing is very important. Pakistan registers over 46,00 latest coronavirus cases within the last 24 hours. One hundred forty-six people lost their lives due to covid-19.

To End Up:

Last year, the government took the same decision to overcome the adverse effects of coronavirus at this time. A lockdown was implemented from 6 pm to 3 am on the 14th of May. Moreover, the federal government imposed a ban on marches and processions. Additionally, the administration of districts secured the routes of the procession with containers throughout Lahore.

As the third layer of coronavirus is affecting people throughout the world. In this regard, all the ministries take precautionary measures to control this virus and advise people to follow SOPs. In Pakistan, NCOC is also taking mandatory steps to keep the people safe from this virus.
